Lenovo Yoga Tab Gen 2 tablet

A tablet that can last through a long trip without becoming a thick, heavy slab is an increasingly useful proposition. Lenovo’s Yoga Tab Gen 2 is built around that idea: despite measuring 6.2mm thick and weighing about 480g, it carries an 11,000mAh battery. In Notebookcheck’s Wi-Fi browsing test, it ran for 24 hours and 4 minutes.

That result puts the 11.1-inch Android tablet well ahead of several tested rivals, including the iPad Air 11 with M4. It also represents a substantial gain over the earlier Lenovo Yoga Tab, whose smaller 8,860mAh battery lasted 17 hours and 42 minutes in the same type of test.

Battery life will naturally vary with workload. The Yoga Tab Gen 2 reportedly approached 41 hours during very light use such as ebook reading, while heavy-load testing brought runtime down to roughly five hours. Notebookcheck also observed performance throttling under sustained load, an important caveat for buyers considering long gaming or demanding creative sessions.

A high-refresh screen, but no cellular option

The large battery sits alongside hardware aimed at entertainment and general-purpose portable work. The Yoga Tab Gen 2 has an 11.1-inch LTPS IPS display with a 3840 × 2560 resolution and refresh rates up to 144Hz, plus four Dolby Atmos speakers. It is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500s chipset and supports the Tab Pen Pro 2.

  • 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5X memory
  • 128GB or 256GB of storage, expandable by microSD cards up to 2TB
  • Up to 68W charging
  • Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0
  • Android 17 at launch

Lenovo does not offer a 5G or LTE version, so travelers who need a continuous connection will need to rely on Wi-Fi or phone tethering. For home use, office work, streaming, and flights with downloaded media, the trade-off may be easier to accept given the tablet’s tested endurance.

Long software support, U.S. details still unclear

Lenovo says the Yoga Tab Gen 2 is slated for seven major Android version upgrades and security updates through 2033. That commitment could make the device a longer-term option than many Android tablets, assuming the stated update plan is delivered.

European launch pricing was announced at €649, with some official configurations later listed at lower prices in select markets. Lenovo has not confirmed U.S. availability or pricing in the information available here. For buyers who prioritize multi-day light use and a sharp, fast display over cellular connectivity or sustained peak performance, the Yoga Tab Gen 2’s battery result is its clearest differentiator.
