We’ve rejoiced at the news concerning the Honeycomb update for the HTC Flyer tablet, but it seems things could be even better than that. The US version of the slate, HTC EVO View 4G was announced back in March at CTIA and might come with Honeycomb from the start, although during CTIA it was running Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Sprint’s “This just in” page is listing the device as an Android 3.0 unit, but the carrier’s spokesman, Mark Elliot it saying that it’s too early to tell if the initial debut version of the slate will come with Honeycomb or Gingerbread. It seems the Sprint page we mentioned will be tweaked, only saying that the HTC EVO View 4G will be coming with “the latest version of Android”.

It will be interesting to see Honeycomb working together with a stylus, e-reading apps and media, which are the focus of this HTC tablet.
