Acer had a big event yesterday, where they detailed a new set of products, with a focus on laptops, accessories and even a tablet with antimicrobial coating. What interests us most is the tablet, dubbed Acer Enduro Urban T3, which is detailed below.
The slate is a 10 inch model with an anti microbial coating, meaning that its screen and surfaces can eliminate bacterial organisms, a common concern during pandemic times. The Enduro Urban T3 is a rugged product, with a 9.9 mm waistline and also military grade toughness, courtesy of a MIL-STD 810H certification. It can survive knocks and drops from up to 1.2 meters.
It’s also a dust and waterproof device (IP53) and the speakers and exposed ports are resistant to water and dust. There’s a 10 inch screen on board with 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution and a MediaTek processor in the mix, as well as 4 GB of RAM. It weigh 595 grams and promises 600 nits of brightness. It also offers a 5 MP wide angle camera upfront and an additional microphone with AI noise cancellation and dual band Wi-Fi.
The device is priced at $299.99 and it will be on sale in the first quarter of 2022.
