Logitech is keeping up with the latest tablet trends, by releasing a rival for the Apple Magic Keyboard. They’ve just debuted the Folio Touch, a brand new keyboard case for the iPad Pro, which includes shortcut buttons compatible with iPadOS.
The new keyboard accessory offers 4 use modes: typing, viewing, sketching and reading. The Logitech Folio Touch is a clear rival for the iPad Pro Magic Keyboard and it’s supposed to offer a more flexible working experience. You get a familiar keyboard layout and also protection for the slate’s back and front. There’s an adjustable kickstand and foldable keyboard and a trackpad included. You can also easily move the keyboard out of the way if you just want to sketch or watch a video.
Folio touch doesn’t need its own battery and it relies on the Apple Smart Connector for power and connection. It has a row of shortcut keys for iPadOS, which is something that’s missing from the Magic Keyboard. The keys are backlit and can adjust lighting depending on the room lighting, so you can type easily in any environment. Folio Touch also comes with a cutout for attaching the 2nd gen Apple Pencil or a Logitech Crayon. You can pull out the kickstand, up to 40 degrees, in order to type out notes or emails and the case provides protection from scuffs, scratches and spills. There’s a secure magnetic latch to hold it closed.
The device start shipping this month priced at $159.99 and can be found on Logitech’s site, but it’s not available to order just yet.
