Motorola XOOM has finally reached the big launch day and you can expect it to hit Verizon stores in the following hours. Priced at $599.99, the device requires a new 2 year activation and data plan. On board, you’ll find a 1GHz dual core processor, a 10.1 inch HD widescreen display and support for 4G LTE (upgradeable).

As it’s mentioned above, the product received a “Best of CES 2011” Award, which must mean something if you’re a tech fan. The XOOM fits in the larger tablet category, with a 10.1 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display and it’ll also go against the LG Optimus Pad and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.
