Windows 10 S was announced yesterday and already hardware partners are popping and showing commitment to the platform. Acer is one of them, debuting the TravelMate Spin 1 convertible with this OS on board.

This is the first Windows 10 S machine from Acer and it’s also the first TravelMate convertible. What this means is that it features a 360 degree hinge, letting the screen rotate at 360 degrees. The classic 4 usage modes are here: laptop, stand, tent and tablet. Acer wants to put this device in the classroom, hoping to make it appealing to teachers and students.

Acer TravelMate Spin B1 is also protected against abuse, so it comes with a rubber frame, for extra shock absorption. There’s also a pressure-sensitive display, that’s useful if the kids press it too hard with the bundled stylus. Specs include an 11.6 inch Full HD screen, Intel Celeron CPU, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Intel Integrated Graphics are also here and the battery is supposed to last 13 hours on a charge.

The notebook brings support for Cortana, Windows Ink and Continuum. It comes with a price tag of $299.99.
