Samsung has started sending out press invites for an event supposed to go down in India on May 25th, which is this Wednesday. The event involves a brand new tablet, that may be part of the Galaxy Tab A series or some other product range.

There’s talk of a 7 inch tablet model, but not not any unit, rather one part of the Make in India program. As you know, India and its authorities have put a lot of focus on making hardware locally, for companies from Asian countries. Xiaomi and Samsung are just two of the names that showed interest in this over the  past months.

The 7 inch newcomer is said to have a 5 megapixel camera, 8 GB of storage and it’ll offer enterprise features and support the government’s Digital India campaign. It’ll be a budget tablet for sure, so a price below $100 should be the norm here. Maybe it’ll even resurrect the Tab Lite model series from Samsung.
