Videocon had a field day in India, debuting a series of interesting devices, including 4 new smartphones and a tablet. While the handsets are modest and some of them have 256 MB of RAM, the tablet has relatively decent specs and it’s pictured below.

Dubbed Videocon VT87C+, this model packs a 7 inch screen, a 5 megapixel back camera and a front 2 MP shooter. It also comes with 4 GB of storage, a 1.3 GHz dual core processor and 1 GB of RAM, as well as a 3000 mAh battery. There’s a dotted texture at the back, for increased grip and a speaker that’s pretty small and inconspicuous.

I see that the slate also has an earpiece of sorts, so it’s either the fact it can do phone calls, or merely a mistake from the part of the product maker. The price of the tablet is estimated at around $177 and the OS here is Android 4.2.2. Its TFT display has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and connectivity includes GPS and 3G.
