Asustek Computer has announced officially its consolidated revenues for December 2014, reaching $1.32 billion. This stands for a 13.66% drop compared to the previous month and a 5.95% increase compared to December 2013.
The drop compared to November may mean that ASUS sold a lot of goods during Black Friday, but not as many during the Christmas shopping period. The company has reached a total of NT$477.22 billion in 2014 revenues, a 3% bump from the year before. Once the new Zenfone units announced at CES and the new Chi tablets start selling, I would expect a solid jump in profit.
ASUS is now playing the big boy game, with a cameraphone and a stylish smartphone with 4 GB of RAM ready to take off. Their Chi devices are also very good rivals for Lenovo’s dominant Yoga, so the company’s strategy seems flawless for now. There’s only one problem to solve: Apple’s domination…
