Panasonic has enriched its TOUGHPAD tablet and laptop series with a new model today, the FZ-B2, a 7 inch slate with a rugged case. This model is protected against the weather and working conditions and it will hit the stores close to the end of November.
We’re dealing with a 7 inch tablet, that offers a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, while relying on Android 4.4 as the OS of choice. It withstands drops, vibrations and its case is dust proof and splashproof. This model complies with the IP65 standard and it uses accessories like a car dashboard mounter and a bar code reader. Its battery provides 7 hours of usage and the tablet’s waistline is quite big, at 18 mm.
The product weighs 540 grams and also seems to integrate a front camera, with two sensors next to it. I’ve also spotted 3 special LEDs on the side, one for battery, one for storage apparently and one that I can’t quite figure out. The target audience for this product is made of workers, constructors and engineers, to name just a few.
