It appears that the ASUS MeMo Pad 10 (ME102A) is ready to be replaced by an upgraded (or rather changed) version, one that’s codenamed ME103K. The new slate has already reached a few French retailers, that have leaked the images below.

The older MeMo Pad 10 was released last fall, with a 249 euro price tag and now it’s priced at 180 euros. The original version had a Rockchip RK3188 processor and the new one doesn’t change much, aside from the CPU. The ASUS ME103K switches to a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad core 1.5 GHz chipset, with Adreno 320 graphics. Other than that the 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage are kept, as well as the 1280 x 800 pixel display.

The CPU implemented here is the one that also powered by the Nexus 7 2013, a respected tablet last summer. The new MeMo Pad 10 runs Android 4.4 KitKat with the Zen UI custom UI and it also comes with GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and a microSD card slot. The product is expected to cost below 200 euros and it will come in black or white.
