China Mobile has launched the first 4G tablet under its own brand and you can check out the device below, if you’re curious. We’re dealing with a slate that’s not too shabby looking and with a front design that reminds me of the Huawei MediaPad M1.

M711-2

This model is dubbed P711 and it’s a 7 inch product, that will be followed by a 10 inch model soon enough. It appears that this prototype is the result of the work of the government and enterprise system, so a lot of work was put into it. This model measures 8.95 mm in thickness, packs a 7 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display and a quad core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8926 processor.

Specs also include 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and a 5 megapixel back camera, as well as a 0.3 Mp front shooter. Inside there’s a 4100 mAh battery and we get the obvious WiFi support, microUSB, Bluetooth 4.0 and such. I can’t really tell if this model does phone calls or not and from what I’ve heard the price tag will be around $240. The target audience for this slate is the government departments, hospitals and other segments like these.
