Back in the days when tablets were just starting to become popular, MSI had big plans and showed a bunch of prototypes. They haven’t achieved superstar status, but every once in a while they pull out a product from the hat. One of them is the Primo 77 slate, shown below.
The MSI Primo 77 has been listed in Taiwan, on local carrier Chunghwa Telecom. This model runs Android and it has a 7 inch IPS display with 5 point multitouch. Inside there’s a 1.3 GHz MediaTek 8312 dual core processor, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. There’s also a microSD card slot, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 3100 mAh battery.
Android 4.2 is the OS here and this device also does 3G Internet phone calls. The product is available via the local carrier mentioned above, for just $170. The back seems to feature a smooth touch surface…
