Huawei has launched new devices from the Honor series, a phablet and a handset. The phablet is the one that interests us, the 5.5 incher shown below. It’s dubbed Huawei Honor 3X and it’s an interesting dual SIM unit.
It packs a 5.5 inch IPS screen with 720p resolution and a MediaTek MT6592 octa core processor of the Cortex A7 kind. The CPU has a 1.7 GHz frequency and we’ve also got 2 GB of RAM on board, a 13 megapixel back camera and a 5 megapixel front shooter. There’s a 3000 mAh battery inside and there’s an interesting dual SIM setup here.
There’s a slot with a mini SIM and one with a micro SIM, both with 3G support, for regular Chinese carriers and worldwide 3G. The price tag of the device is $280 off contract, which is very OK for an octa core phablet.
