How do you feel about paying $114 for an iPad Mini clone? Well, that sounds particularly interesting when the device gets that golden hue that the iPhone 5s made popular and the newest iPads didn’t get this year. The new model with the appealing color is the Onda V819 Mini Tyrant Gold Edition shown below.
This product will be delivered after December 11th, with a pretty decent set of specs, for this price. The device runs Android 4.2.2 on top of a quad core Allwinner A31S processor clocked at 1 GHz. There’s also a PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU inside and the screen here is a 7.9 inch unit with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels.
We’ve also got a microSD card slot on board, 16 GB of internal storage, 1 GB of RAM and the screen uses an IPS panel with 4:3 aspect. There’s WiFi on board, but not Bluetooth or 3G and there’s also a microHDMI port integrated here. On the camera side, there’s a 2 MP back camera and 0.3 MP front one. This slate measures 7mm in thickness and relies on a 3800 mAh battery.
