Archos has been making kids tablets and I can find a few other names in this business, with OLPC at the top of the list. The Lexibook Laptab hybrid also adds its name to the long list with the device pictured below.
This is a combo between a tablet and a laptop, a device for the little ones that even kids less than 7 years of age will appreciate. The product features a touchscreen display, it runs Android and has a hinge that allows you to fold the screen and use it like a tablet. Lexibook Laptab is the full name of the product, that’s a small computer at first sight, but also a handy slate.
Its specs include a 7 inch 800 x 480 pixel screen, 4 GB of storage, a microSD card slot, Ethernet and WiFi. There’s Android in the mix and a 2800 mAh battery, plus a ton of e-books, educational apps and games. Android 4.0 ICS handles the software part. Getting one for your little one’s back to school time frame?
