The Allview Viva Q8 is a member of the new Viva series of slates from Romanian company Allview, a series defined by ultraslim designs and high speed. The device resembles the iPad Mini quite a bit and we unbox it for you in the video below.

This product goes for $240 and it was launched in July, with a quad core CPU and a facade that’s totally iPad-Mini like. The device measures 7.5 mm in thickness, weighs 357 grams and features an IPS LCD screen wih a 4:3 aspect ratio and 1024 x 768 pixel resolution. There’s Android 4.2 on board and a quad core Cortex A7 1 GHz processor, as well as an 8 core PowerVR SGX544 MP2 GPU.

We’ve got 8 GB of storage available, 1 GB of DDR3 RAM as well and a microSD card slot with support for 32 GB. Allview Viva Q8 comes in black or white, it has an aluminum case and it comes without GPS or Bluetooth. It does have WiFi, a 5 megapixel camera with Full HD video capture and 2 stereo speakers. Its battery is a 4000 mAh unit and more details will be available over the following days, as we prepare its review.
