The summer avalanche of Android tablets has started and there’s a bunch of fresh models coming out these days, made by the likes of ASUS, Toshiba, Lenovo and Samsung. Toshiba has the Excite Pro and Write models available now and the prices start at $300.

These products were announced last month and the Toshiba Excite Write goes for $600, while the Excite Pro is available for $500 and the Excite Pure is $300. The Pure model is a 10 inch Android slate with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, 16 GB of storage, a microSD card slot, 1 GB of RAM and Android 4.2.1 stock available on it.

The Excite Pro and Write are very similar, with 10 inch 2560 x 1600 pixel displays, Gorilla Glass 2 and Nvidia Tegra 4 processors, plus 32 GB of storage. There’s also 2 GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, 8 MP cameras and Harmon Kardon speakers. The Write stands out via a Wacom digitizer/stylus, with support for 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity, as well as preloaded apps from Toshiba: TruNote and TruCapture.
