We’ve heard rumors about a 3G Nexus 7 and now it appears that the device has morphed into a new version, one that offers 32 GB of storage. The device was initially available only with 8 GB or 16 GB of storage, making the public complain they have too little storage, especially in lack of a microSD card slot. Well, that problem may be solved by this new version…. if it’s real.

Considering 2.5 GB are taken by the system and The Dark Knight Rises takes up almost 2 GB of space, you’re left with very little space on the device, if you own the 8 GB version, so a 32 GB newcomer is welcome. The screenshot posted above is supposed to come from Carphone Warehouse in the UK, as a listing for the device in the version with more storage. There’s no price or release date, but if Google and ASUS feel generous, they may be preparing a holiday offer that gives you the 32 GB Nexus 7 for the same price as the 16 GB one.

Products are being used as place holders often in such systems, so don’t take the info for granted. Amazon and Barnes & Noble also unveiled new tablets in 32 GB versions recently, so that may have prompted Google and ASUS to take action, although I suppose they had these prepared for a while now. Also, what’s the deal with the Nexus 2 listing?
