French company Archos just made the 101 XS tablet available across Europe today, with a slim waistline of just 8mm. Priced at 300 quid, the device also gets a nifty keyboard dock, that’s pictured below. The dock is bundled with each purchase, so it’s not an optional affair like the one of ASUS Transformer devices.

Archos 101 XS features Android 4.0 ICS, a TI OMAP 4470 processor at 1.5 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. The product weighs 600 grams and has a 5 point capacitive touchscreen, with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. The 101 XS also features a mini HDMI out, a micro USB and a microSD card slot. There’s also the option of using a magnetic coverboard, that protects, stands, docks and types with your device. The coverboard will slide to open and reveal a complete QWERTY keyboard.

This 10 inch tablet has an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean promised for Q4 2012 and as media goes, it does AVI, MPG, MOV video playback, also supports MPEG 4 HD, MP3, WAV, FLAC and more. It has a 720p front camera for videocalls and the specs list also includes Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GPS and a Li Polymer battery that provides 40 hours of music playback.
