Ematic has been releasing a bunch of tablets lately, but now there’s one more new model, the eGlide Pro X, shown below. This 9.7 inch device has a 4:3 aspect ratio and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Usually we get to see 16:10 Android 4.0 slates, so that’s why this model is so unique.
The Pro X is a bit better specced than the XL Pro predecessor, packing a 1.2 GHz processor and 8 GB of storage. It also comes with a microSD card slot, HDMI port, Kobo’s book app and Ematic’s replacement for typical Google software. It also has a price tag of $220, making the eGlide a good offer, unless you intend to buy the rumored Nexus Tablet, that should set you back $200 or so.
Ematic is a company that makes, among others MP3 players, digital picture frames, iPod accessories, headphones, cables and much more. They also have a pretty cool e-book reader with a 7 inch display, some physical keys at the bottom, a voice recorder, FM tuner and a directional pad.
