The Firefly is the phablet model pictured below and while it doesn’t look bad at all, it’s pretty huge, at 6.45 inches in diagonal. Its full name is the Firefly V65 and the device comes with 2 GB of RAM and a 13 megapixel camera.
Its display is a Full HD 6.45 inch screen and inside we find a MediaTek processor. You shouldn’t get too excited, since this model will most likely never leave China. What’s really interesting here is the 6.45 inch panel with Full HD res… Who made the panel? Did they only make a batch for this device? Are there more out there?
If mass production of 6.45 inch panels has started, it means that the Sony Togari 6+ inch phablet theories were real and some future Samsung devices may also adopt this form factor. Is this the new format to look out for? Do you think Sony can make it into a hit? If you want more specs for the Firefly, know that its CPU is a quad core one and we also get 16 GB of storage and a 3150 mAh battery, all of that in a 9.5 mm thin chassis.
