The best things come to those who wait… and Russians must have waited a long time, since they’ve received a budget tablet that supports 3D video playback. I’m talking about the teXet TM-7025, that runs Android 2.3.4 and has Ice Cream Sandwich promised as an update. The device is priced at a mere $200, so it’s a budget offer.
This slate uses a Boxchip A10 Cortex A8 processor (1GHz), a 3D accelerator, a 7 inch capacitive TFT LCD display with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution and 5 point multitouch. It also has an accelerometer and vibration feedback. You also get 4GB of internal memory, 512MB of RAM and a microSD card slot for extra storage. It appears that this model also has a nifty feature that allows it to connect to a 500GB hard drive without extra power supply and up to 1 TB with optional power supply.
HDMI will also give this model quad full HD resolutions when playing back content. This is the first 3D tablet mode made by teXet, but keep in mind that it requires special glasses for that. Other features include WiFi, a 0.3 megapixel front camera, a 3100 mAh Li-Ion battery, a miniUSB port and a chassis that measures 12.1mm in thickness. The device weighs 370 grams and everything sounds too good to be true, honestly…
