Xiaomi is positioning the Pad 9 Pro Max around big-screen portable computing without the bulk normally associated with a 13-inch-class tablet. The device measures 5.67mm thick and weighs 645 grams, wrapping its hardware in a metal unibody chassis with symmetrical display bezels. It is scheduled to be presented in China on September 7.

A large, fast display for work and entertainment

The Pad 9 Pro Max has a 13.3-inch IPS LCD panel with a 3408 x 2272 resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness. Xiaomi also offers a Soft-Light version of the display, an anti-glare-style option positioned as an alternative to Huawei’s PaperMatte screens. Stylus support is included, though the available information does not say whether a pen is bundled.

For media use, the tablet includes an eight-speaker audio system. Color options are burgundy, black, and silver.

Xring O3 power and high-end memory options

Xiaomi equips the Pad 9 Pro Max with its flagship Xring O3 processor, the same chip used in the Xiaomi 18 Fold. Configurations reach 16GB of RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, with 8GB and 12GB RAM options also listed.

A 12,000mAh battery supports 120W wired charging. The tablet also carries a 50-megapixel rear camera and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

Pricing reportedly starts at €615 in China. Xiaomi has not provided U.S. pricing, availability, or a timeline for a wider international release. Based on the specifications, the Pad 9 Pro Max is aimed at buyers who want a thin, large-format Android tablet for stylus work, media, and demanding multitasking, but its eventual availability outside China remains the key unanswered question.
