Windows 10 Build 9879 has leaked in a few screenshots and they reveal some of the new features and changes. This means that this build includes pretty much what we can expect from the Windows Technical Preview that will come soon.
The Build 9879 was compiled in early November and includes some enhancements over the last public Technical preview build (9860). One of the new options is the ability to hide the Search and Task View buttons on the taskbar. You can trigger that ability by right clicking the taskbar. The Home area in File Explorer comes with extra changes, allowing one to pin things to the Home area. There’s also some action going on in the Internet Explorer front.
IE11 has the feedback features in the top right hand corner of the window, which can send feedback straight back to Microsoft. The Modern UI apps also bring changes, as the charm bar button drop down menu that was in the top left has turned into a hamburger style button instead of 3 dots. The functionality is the same, but the look is different. Build 9879 isn’t coming to the public anytime soon, but since it’s a pretty stable release, its features may make it to the next public preview.
