After a period of speculations concerning a so-called “PlayStation Tablet”, Sony finally confirmed two new Honeycomb slates. These are the Sony S1 and S2 Android tablets, that right now don’t have specs accompanying them. The products will debut at Christmas time, in case you’re wondering.
Sony S1 looks like a standard slate, with its 9.4 inch display (shown above, the bigger unit) and supporting PlayStation integration and Qriocity media suite. Sony S2 is more original, since it’s a dual screen Honeycomb device with two 5.5 inch 1024 x 480 screens, that can be used together as one large display. Will the hinge get in the way like on the Kyocera Echo? We’ll see…
Meanwhile, we have to mention that these units rely on Tegra 2 processors and we really can’t wait for Christmas to come and bring these hotties with an appealing price. Should the iPad 2 fear these rivals? What do you say?
