Samsung has been covering all kinds of formats and shapes when it comes to tablets lately, so they have products in the 7 inch, 7.7 inch, 10.1, 5.3 inch and 8.9 inch ranges. Now, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 is available finally in the USA, in case you’re interested.

Galaxy Tab 8.9 is a smaller Galaxy Tab 10.1, keeping the 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and the same hardware specs: 1GB of RAM, a dual core 1GHz CPU and Android 3.1 Honeycomb with Samsung TouchWiz UI. $469 is the price applied to the 16GB unit and $569 to the 32GB slate. The reason to pick one of these up?

First of all, you have no Android tablet in your house, else this would be useless. Also, in case you have a Honeycomb device and too much money to spend, maybe you’re looking into a more portable device, since the 10 inchers are not always something easy to carry with you. And finally, this product isn’t as controversial as the Galaxy Tab 10.1, at least not yet…
