If you remember the Google Project Tango tablet, then you’re already familiar with this device 3D mapping features thanks to the several camera sensors placed on it. As we get to know today, it seems that the Project Tango is leaving Google ATAP and get its own department within Google.
Google ATAP stands for Advanced Technology and Project, and is a skilled group that had in works both the Project Ara and the Project Tango. This Project Tango tablet is able to map the world around us in 3D by creating virtual representations of the 3D objects.
A first developer kit will be available soon to the developers. However, Google didn’t said why it decided to move the Project Tango to a proper department, but maybe we’ll get to find this thing too. What should Google create next?
