As you know, Microsoft recently confirmed an event taking place later this month, most likely related to its Surface lineup. Now we have some info on Microsoft’s partner in this endeavor. It would appear that Pegatron is going to make these products, according to inside sources.
Whether or not the Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2 debuts this year, we’ll see them made by Pegatron, as well as the Surface AIO we’ve been hearing rumors about. Chinese language publication Economic Daily News reported on this topic recently. Microsoft is said to be releasing its Surface desktop PC in 3 versions: 21 inch, 24 inch and 27 inch, with a specially designed mouse and keyboard part of the Surface series too.
A press sensor stylus and Perceptive Pixel multitouch technology will be included. Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2 are said to adopt Intel’s Kaby Lake processors and “bio sensor technologies”, said the same source. Pegatron is a big name among manufacturers, having contracts with the likes of Apple and also working on the PS4 Pro recently.
