Panasonic Toughbook C1 is a name you might to remember, since this tablet is probably the most expensive model I’ve seen recently. This resilient 12.1 inch convertible unit goes for $2600 and that’s only the starting price for the basic model. You might to know that recently this model has received an upgrade, in the RAM and processor department.
The C1 is a Windows slate, with rugged design, a 2.5GHz Intel Core i5 CPU (able to reach 3.2GHz speeds with turbo boost) and 4GB of RAM. The latter can be expanded to 8GB in the multitouch/digitizer model, or 6GB in the gloved multitouch version that comes with 2GB as the standard RAM quantity. There’s also a 320 GB HDD in the mix.
The upgraded version comes with hot swappable twin batteries, one of them providing 6 hours of hours, an SDXC card slot and an optional 1.3 megapixel webcam. Shipments start in July!
