There seems to be a new flavour of the Huawei MateBook tablet in town, one that has been freshly certified by the FCC and could end up being that Pascal model that already leaked via a benchmark. The new slate appears with FCC ID QISBL-WX9 and the WX9 bit is surely similar to the W19 codename of the past leak.
An FCC certification means that the product is close to launch time, with hardware improvements over the previous model. According to the last leak, we are expecting here a product with 8 GB of RAM in the mix, as well as a new CPU, possibly an Intel Core i5-7200U this time, clocked at 2.71 GHz. The new MateBook is said to have 2 versions, one with a 13 inch screen and the other with a 15 inch panel.
New accessories should be in the mix and perhaps new design approaches, related to the format, materials and general aspect of the device. It’s been over a year since the released of the first MateBook, so we are certainly due an update. Jumping from 12 inches to 15 is quite the feat though…
