Micromax has launched a new tablet, the Canvas Tab P666, one that’s priced below $200 and offers an 8 inch display and Intel CPU. This model goes for $178 and it will be available starting this Saturday, November 29th via online and offline stores in India.

The Micromax Canvas Tab P666 is the very first tablet from the company, that uses an Intel chipset. It comes with a 1.2 GHz dual core Intel Atom Z2520, with 4 threads and 1 MB cache. It also has 1 GB of RAM and Android 4.4.2 KitKat as the OS. The screen is an 8 inch IPS with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and the Canvas Tab P666 has 8 GB of built in storage, that’s expandable via a microSD card, offering up to 32 GB extra storage.

This model has a 5 megapixel back camera, with autofocus and Full HD video capture. There’s also a 2 megapixel front shooter, 3G connectivity via a micro SIM and EDGE, WiFi and Bluetooth are here as well. The Micromax Canvas Tab P666 offers up to 325 hours of standby functioning, courtesy of a 4400 mAh battery. It also has a glass finish and metal edges, so it’s a pretty much premium product.
