Meizu is known to be preparing the 5.4 inch smartphone MX4 for quite some time now, with a launch scheduled for September 2nd. Well, now they’re also said to be preparing a tablet for release on the same date, which would be a huge surprised, since you’d expect that device to be leaked by now.
Next Tuesday we are expecting to see at least three versions of the MX4, a Pro one, Standard One and Mini one, plus an extra mystery one. That fourth mystery unit may actually be the tablet, if you allow me to speculate. There’s some talk about a picture posted on Weibo, that seems to indicate a teaser for an upcoming tablet. The slate is said to be a 7.9 incher and the name Meizu Max has been thrown around.
Supposedly the product will have bezels of only 3 mm in thickness and a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. There should be a 3 MP front camera, a 13 MP back camera and the new Flyme 4.0 UI should be found on top of Android. And now the big question: will the CPU be an Exynos, MediaTek or a surprise?
