LG debuted today a new tablet, the G Pad II 8.3 model, that’s pictured below. This is a pretty well specced device, that offers a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution on a 8.3 inch diagonal.
Inside the device we find the Snapdragon 615 processor and the tablet also comes with 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage, a 4800 mAh battery and a main 8 megapixel camera. There’s a 2 MP front shooter in the mix and the slate measures 8.8 mm in thickness. LG G Pad II 8.3 weighs 366 grams and comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with LG’s latest UI on top.
As far as connectivity goes, there’s 4G LTE here, as well as WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. This feels very much like a spiritual successor for the first LG G Pad 8.3 unit. We learned that the product will come preloaded with Microsoft Office apps, plus it will have a built in stylus. We have no info on the price tag, but sales start tomorrow in South Korea.
