We’ve already seen leaked parts of the iPhone 5S and 5C, plus a variety of detailed shots of the phones coming from Sonny Dickson. Now, from the same source comes a large gallery of pictures portraying the iPad Mini 2 and the iPad 5.
The two are shown in tandem, with the focus being their back shells and in some shots the front panels. The two models look quite a bit alike, since, as you probably know already Apple has decided to use the iPad Mini design for its bigger iPad as well. We’ll get rid of the sloped tablet design we were used to and it will be replaced with a slightly rounded case, with a shiny ring around the screen, all made of metal.
I suggest you keep a good eye on the area around the Home button, especially underneath it, since I expect it to integrate a fingerprint scanner, just like the new generation iPhone is rumored to. No idea when these two tablets are coming, but my money is on a separate event, taking place in October maybe.
