During last week’s IFA 2022 event, Honor was there to unveil a few new appealing products, including a tablet or two. The Pad 8 was brought to Europe, but there was also a new unveiling, the one of the Honor Pad X8 Lite. This slate is a 9.7 inch machine, which seems to be made in order to complete with the budget iPad coming this fall.

It measures 7.55 mm in thickness and weighs 460 grams. The device has a 9.7 inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. It also runs on Android 12 with Magic UI 6.1 on top. The big deal is that this OS/UI lets users open up to 4 windows on one screen through the multi window area. Inside we find a MediaTek Helio G80 processor, with 3 or 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage and a microSD card slot. We also get a 5100 mAh battery with 10W charging.

Upfront there’s a 2 megapixel camera for selfies and video calls, while the back panel features a 5 megapixel main camera sans flash. We also get support for Histen Audio and dual speakers. As far as connectivity goes, the Honor Pad X8 Lite features dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1 and an USB-C port. There’s no SIM card slot here and also there’s no audio jack.

The product is said to come to the market very soon, but the price has yet to be confirmed.
