Over the past weeks HP has been making waves with many Android device releases and now they’re debuting even more new models in China. The company introduced in USA and Europe 4 new slates with Android (HP slate 7 Plus, Slate 7 HD, Slate 10 HD and Slate 8 Pro) and now HP introduced 3 slates for the Chinese market with Allwinner CPUs.
These are low cost models in the area of 7 or 8 inch diagonals. These are Compaq models and the HP Compaq 7 comes with a 7 inch 1024 x 768 pixel display, but this is a TN screen, so view angles will be pretty poor. HP Compaq 7+ uses a superior screen, an IPS, while HP Compaq 8 is closer to the iPad Mini, with an IPS 7.85 inch screen with 1024 x 768 pixel resolution.
These models have a quad core Allwinner A31s Cortex A7 CPU and they also come with a PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU. 1 GB of RAM, and 8 or 16 GB of storage complete the specs list. Prices range up from $160 and the Compaq product range is destined only for China right now.
