The clock is ticking as we approach the debut of Google I/O 2012, taking place next month and already there are lots of rumors concerning the supposed Nexus tablet that could debut there. Samsung and Google are supposedly working together on a new device, that’s maybe a tablet or maybe a phone.

It all started when Adam Green, known ROM Developer found some lines of code in Google’s Git Repository. The codes seem to point towards a device with Exynos 5250 processor, a Mali GPU, a wm8994 sound chip and a display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. That instantly makes me think about a brand new Galaxy Note. Meanwhile, you should know that the Exynos 5250 aka the Exynos 5 Dual will mean the transition to the Cortex A15 architecture. However, just like the Exynos 4 Quad, it will use a 32 nm HKMG technology.

In March this year Samsung’s Senior Manager at Mobile Marketing Massimiliano Villani mentioned that the Exynos 5250 will be the first CPU to enable a WQXGA display. So, should we expect in the following month or so to see both a Nexus tablet from Google, maybe made with Samsung or maybe ASUS and another hottie, this time a Samsung device with Exynos 5250 CPU? We already know that the Nexus slate won’t use the Tegra 3 processor, because of costs and the Exynos is certainly not cheaper. I guess it will use the Snapdragon S4, while the new Exynos might power up the Galaxy Note 2, if you ask me to speculate…
