Google has done some modifications to its image searching side, intended to make the experience more user-friendly for tablet users. Now you can look up images on Google, swipe between images and view them all as big thumbnails, without having to move through pages and separate your results.
Android and iPad tablets will benefit from this update, that’s detailed in the video below. You get full screen image previews, faster load times and a carousel interface, the one that allows the user to swipe to the next or previous photo. In order to access this enhanced experience, all you need to do is go to Google.com using the tablet’s browser and type a search query, then click Images for the filter.
Image navigation will begin and you’ll feel right at home with this experience, like never before. I wonder what other Google search features will be adapted for the tablet experience in the future. Maybe the video searching will get some YouTube integration as live previews or something?
