Yes, Barnes & Noble remains relevant on the tablet market, but only via proxy, via Samsung we mean. Their latest slate is actually the Samsung Galaxy Tab A Nook, that gets detailed below and it’s priced at $139.99.

It’s very likely that the product will only remain in USA, so don’t rejoice too soon. Barnes & Noble’s Nook was no match to Amazon’s tablets or readers, so faced with becoming irrelevant, the company paired up with Samsung. Basically they apply their Nook branding on the likes of the Galaxy Tab 4 for example, that started this cooperation.

The new Galaxy Tab A Nook is a 7 inch TFT slate with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, good enough for e-reading and obviously offering Nook content. Inside we find an Exynos 3475 processor, clocked at 1.3 GHz, as well as 1.5 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. There’s also a microSD card slot, a 2 MP camera and a battery that promises up to 11 hours of usage.

The price is $139.99.
