Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp is preparing to enter a new age of media and journalism, by launching entirely digital newspapers for tablets and handsets. The LA Times is reporting this piece of info, that has us a bit suspicious, specially considering the pretty poor Wall Street Journal iPad version, going for $17.29 per month.

The new digital newspaper is supposed to target a more general public, by providing short and interesting stories that are easy to digest, according to The Times. The digital paper could debut by year end and we wouldn’t be surprised if we would see it embraced by most tablet manufacturers.
