Indian tablet maker DataWind announced today its first Intel-powered tablet, the i3G7 model, priced at just $90. This product comes with free Internet browsing for a year courtesy of Reliance Communications, on prepaid GSM SIM cads.
Voice calling is also available on this device, that features a 7 inch screen and pretty decent entry level specs. Its talk time is up to 4 hours and the standby time reaches up to 5 days. DataWind i3G7 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and comes with WiFi, Bluetooth and microUSB, as well as a 1.2 GHz quad core Intel Atom x3 CPU.
It’s accompanied by 8 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and probably 1 GB of RAM, although that’s not mentioned in the official releases. The slate is described as lightweight and offers HD video playback, plus it brings DataWind’s proprietary web delivery technology, that offers high speed web browsing with the lowest data cost possible.
