It’s a good thing to keep an eye out for Computex launches, since you get to see new laptops, tablets and even new screen technologies and processors. One of the latter is the just unveiled Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 with built in LTE and reference tablet designs showcased.
The newcomer is codenamed MSM8926 and comes with 3G and LTE built int. We’re dealing with a 1.2 GHz Cortex A7 solution that will handle 42 Mbps HSPA+ and Chinese TD-SCDMA, as well as fast wireless speeds. It also supports short range 802.11ac WiFi and Miracast streaming. The Snapdragon 400 will arrive later this year and it will be present on tablets.
Qualcomm is expected to showcase 7 and 10 inch versions of the Reference Design tablets that will be based on the early S400 models, the MSM8230 and MSM8030. We will see those at Computex 2013 this week, so keep your eyes peeled. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 features quad core and dual core CPUs, destined for tablets and smartphones and offering multi SIM capabilities.
