Straight from Hungary comes the BluePanther Thunder Android 2.2 MID, that makes a pretty good tablet actually. BluePanther sells a bunch of other slates as well and it’s a nifty 7 inch alternative to the Dell Streak, iPad or Galaxy Tab. It even provides access to Android Market, something that many Android slates made in China aren’t capable of.

The device goes for $300 in Eastern Europe and we suppose that if you look hard enough you’ll find the product in your area, or have it delivered there. For this affordable price you get a nice set of specs, that includes the following:

  • Display: 7 inch, resistive, 800 x 480
  • Memory: 2GB NAND Flash, 256MB DDR2 SDRAM, microSD/microMMC slot
  • Connectivity: WiFi b/g, 3G (via dongle), GPS, USB 2.0
  • Camera: front camera, 0.3MP
  • Battery: 7.4V Li battery, 2X2400 mAh

You can also use this unit as your in-car GPS, especially since there’s a car mount and cradle bundled with it.
