The ASUS PadFone X is a high end device by all accounts and today AT&T revealed its hardware specs, as shown below. Sadly, there’s no exact launch date for the product, so all we can do is speculate and wait.
It’s been over two months since this hybrid was announced at CES 2014 and it would be time for a release, I think. I have to remind you that this model was behind a glass case at CES, so people couldn’t even touch it. We’re dealing here with a top of the line device, with a Snapdragon 800 quad core 2.3 GHz CPU, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage.
There’s also a 13 megapixel camera on board, a 5 inch display with Full HD resolution and Android 4.4 as the OS. The full range of connectivity is here: WiFi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth and LTE. Interestingly enough, the PadFone Station in this case has a 9 inch display with a Full HD resolution (1920 x 1200 pixels).
The handset part comes with a 2300 mAh battery, while the Station has a 4990 mAh power unit.
