The Archos GamePad is one of the nicer gaming devices you can get this year end. You may want an Android gaming tablet for Xmas, seeing how this segment is starting to get traction and fame. The Archos GamePad is one of the first big brand slates with gaming abilities and controls and it’s now available in Europe for the price of 149.99 euros.

What we’re dealing with here is a 7 inch 1024 x 600 pixel tablet, with a 1.6 Ghz dual core CPU, with a quad core Mali 400 MP GPU. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and has gaming controls on the side reminiscent of the PS Vita console. Other features include 8 GB of storage, a microSD card slot, a micro HDMI port and a chassis that’s just 0.3 inches thin, while the entire thing weighs 0.7 pounds. Archos GamePad has dual analog sticks, four action buttons, four directional buttons and dual shoulder buttons.

The Play Store is obviously supported and there’s an exclusive game mapping tool available. Pair this up with a PlayStation, Sega or NES emulator and you’re set for long hours of fun. The product will most likely pop up at CES and its debut in USA is scheduled for Q1 2013.
