Acer doesn’t seem to want to wait for IFA 2013, so they decided to announce the brand new Iconia A3 tablet, that will be offered in stores in October. The product will go for 249 euros and it will pack a 10.1 inch WXGA display.
Acer Iconia A3 supports a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and it’s powered by a quad core Cortex A7 1.2 GHz CPU. At the back we’ve got a 5 megapixel camera and the device will come with either 16 or 32 GB of storage. It will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and one of the features that’s supposed to make the product stand out is the sound quality.
The slate comes with Dolby Digital Plus technology, that creates a virtualized 5.1 channel surround experience with headphones. It also reduces background noise and boosts dialogue volume in videos or songs. Aside from the price mentioned before, there will be a 3G version that goes on sale in November for 299 euro.
