Honor MagicPad 4 tablet

Honor’s MagicPad 4 is shaping up as a large-screen tablet built to balance high-refresh entertainment with laptop-style multitasking. The tablet is scheduled to launch in China on September 28, 2026, alongside the Honor Magic 9 phone series. Honor has opened China preorders, but U.S. availability and pricing have not been confirmed.

High-refresh hardware for games and long sessions

The MagicPad 4 centers on a 12.1-inch LCD with a 3,000 × 1,872 resolution, 292 pixels per inch, up to 700 nits of brightness, and a 165Hz refresh rate. That unusually fast refresh rate for a tablet should make interface motion smoother and could benefit supported games. Honor also highlights slim display bezels and a 100× zoom feature, though it has not yet explained how that zoom function works.

  • Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 powers the tablet, with a new 3D cooling system that includes more than 37,000 mm² of graphite heat-dissipation material. Honor claims an 11.7% performance increase, without identifying the comparison device or platform.
  • A six-speaker stereo audio system is intended to support video, games, and other media playback.
  • The 10,100mAh battery is rated for up to 70 days of standby time.

PC mode and cross-device file transfers

For mobile productivity, Honor says the revised PC mode can keep multiple apps in use at once in a layout intended to feel closer to a laptop workflow. The company is also emphasizing cross-device connectivity, including the ability to transfer photos, videos, and other files to iOS devices. Those features position the MagicPad 4 as more than a media slate, although further details on its software capabilities remain limited.

The two announced configurations keep storage fixed at 256GB, with the higher-priced version adding RAM. With its large, fast display, six-speaker setup, and productivity-focused software, the MagicPad 4 appears aimed at users who want one tablet for gaming, streaming, and multitasking. Whether it will be sold in the United States remains unknown.
