Amazon has just announced an optimized version of its Kindle app for Android 3.0 Honeycomb. This is a free piece of software that serves as an e-reader and uses the full screen estate of an Android 3.0 slate. There’s an improved layout, for easier navigation in the Kindle store and in the collection of e-books on the device.
Among the changes brought to the original app there’s the support for German language, in both the app and store. The shopping experience was customized for Honeycomb and it’s seamless right now, allowing users to pause, resume content downloads and look up words, through an improved method. There’s also a dictionary with over 250,000 entries.
This version of the app is available on both tablets and Android phones.
