Xiaomi has been slacking it seems in the tablet segment, since it hasn’t launch a new flagship slate in a while now. The Xiaomi Pad 5 came out in 2021 and it’s very likely we’ll have to wait till 2023 to get a new tablet. Now the Xiaomi Pad 6 has tentatively leaked.

To be honest, Xiaomi left quite a few years pass between Mi Pad launches. They launched the Mi Pad 4 in 2018, followed by a 3 year gap till the Mi Pad 5 in 2021. Now a potential Xiaomi Pad 6 has appeared. Back in May, the tablet received an EEC certification, revealing no less than 4 models. These models are L81, L81A, L82 and L83. They’re associated to the Xiaomi Pad 6, Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro, Pad 6 Pro 5G and a Redmi tablet.

Xiaomi Pad 6/ Pad 6 Pro appeared in the Xiaomi code base a few days and one of the products has the codename “pipa” and model number “M82”. It will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor and deliver excellent battery life, according to sources. Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro is supposed to be codenamed “Liuqin”, it should have the codename M81 and it’ll upgrade to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, one of the most powerful processors on the market.

The tablet will use a AMOLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 2880 x 1880 pixel resolution. There will be two back cameras here, a main camera and a Bokeh camera, plus a front camera for videocalls and quad speakers. A stylus, keyboard and NFC are also in the mix.
